The Dongfang Honghai Mukainaoer disc solar steam and heating project has successfully produced steam and passed the inspection smoothlyThe first large-scale disc solar steam and heating system in China, constructed by Dongfang Honghai, successfully produced steam and passed the inspection on September 4, 2019. The steam temperature and pressure indicators met the design standards, laying a solid foundation for ensuring continuous and stable heating in early October.
The project is located in Mukainaoer Town, Etuoke Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. A total of 18 sets of disc solar collection systems are installed, mainly together with thermal storage systems, steam generation systems, and backup gas boilers, to provide 2 tons of steam per hour for the owner's distillery in summer and heat 22000 square meters of housing in winter.
The project location has abundant solar energy resources, with an average annual DNI of around 2000Wh/㎡, making it an ideal area for disc solar thermal utilization. The system configuration of solar disc heat utilization system, thermal storage system, steam generation system, and gas boiler fully utilizes the unique climate resources in the local area, which can ensure the steam and heating needs of users in different seasons and periods, while significantly reducing fuel expenses, and has good economic benefits.
At present, heating and steam production in the north mainly rely on traditional methods such as coal, natural gas, and electricity, as well as new approaches such as air sources and ground source heat pumps. The traditional way of consuming fossil fuels is not conducive to environmental protection and requires a large amount of fuel costs.
